Canola meal

Canola seed with 1 mm diameter has about 42 to 43 percent oil. This oil extracts through oil-pressing process and it uses as edible oil after purification. The peripheral product of this process consumes as protein source as forage. Canola meal holds special privileges in contrast to Kloza meal.


 

Glychozinolat  is one of the anti-nutrition factors existing in Kloza and canola meal.  Surplus amount of this material in forage leads in liver disease and growth disorders and fatness of animal, by performing modifications on this Kloza seed, the amount of its glychozinolat decrease for each gram wasabout 30 micromole,

The quality of the extracted meal depends on its production and processing conditions. In case that processing temperature is not enough, mirocinaz enzyme will not deactivate and it results in breaking of glycozinolate existing in meal and changes it to the toxic agloclon.  In addition, temperature control during process leads in temperature destruction of 30 to 70 glicozinolat in meal.
